Bio
I am Amine Shimou, an American-Moroccan creative lead and storyteller. My education is ongoing, but I currently have a Bachelor's in Communications and an Associate's in Graphic Design - together allowing me to achieve a greater understanding between the B2B and consumer market through mixed-media and creative communications.
I’ve always been drawn to building worlds, and now I do that for brands. I create visual systems, campaigns, and identities that actually feel like something. For me it is never just about making things look polished. I want the work to carry context, emotion, and a sense of place, whether it is through photography, film, typography, or spatial design.
A lot of my perspective comes from travel and being out in the world. I pay attention to colors, textures, and the way people move through different environments. I bring those observations back into my work so things feel grounded and intentional, not generic. I also think a lot about sustainability and materials, both in physical design and digital experiences.
I like working with founders, brands, and creators who want more than nice visuals. They want a point of view. My strength is noticing what will resonate with people before it is obvious and then shaping that into something real across content, campaigns, and overall brand energy. At the end of the day, I just want the work to feel honest, purposeful, and built to last.
I am at the intersection of several things that companies increasingly need:
-
Visual design
-
Brand identity
-
Content and social media
-
Storytelling and creative copy
-
Communications
-
Strategy
-
UX/UI thinking
-
Illustration and apparel design as creative extensions

Top Viral Entry
Morocco TikTok Trending Contest (2025)
Recognized for one of the highest-performing and most-shared entries in the national “Moroccan Tea” challenge. The video gained early traction in Morocco, then expanded into European and U.S. audiences through organic algorithm spread. The concept leaned into precision, rhythm, and cultural familiarity - turning a simple tea pour into a repeat-view short-form moment. It ultimately helped shape early momentum around the wider “Moroccan tea pouring” trend and remained one of the standout authentic entries in the category.
Design Merit Award
PRAB Disaster Relief Competition (2017)
Awarded for a volunteer uniform system designed for disaster relief teams operating across Florida, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. The concept focused on clarity, visibility, and real-world usability in high-pressure environments. Front and back layouts were intentionally structured - balancing clear branding, legibility, and accessible contact information while keeping a minimal, design-forward approach. The goal was simple: make the uniform recognizable, functional, recognizable, and easy to understand at a glance while still feeling professional and human.
